Inmates package products at Organic India

Organic India has embarked on a new business model by getting the male jail inmates to do the packaging of their products and the female jail inmates are involved in growing tulsi and other herbs for the company’s products.
Organic India managing director and global CEO Krishan Guptaa announced the launch of their new range of products on Wednesday at a function where the jail inmates were also present. He lauded the efforts of the jail inmates and said that it was a win-win situation for both since they earned money to support their families and the company also benefited from their skills.
Meanwhile, some of the new products launched by Organic India include Quinoa, which is termed as a better alternative to rice and wheat for health conscious consumers.
Quinoa is rich in vitamins, protein, mineral and dietary fibres, and contains no Gluten. Organic quinoa can be cooked and taken as rice or as a principal constituent in a number of traditional recipes. Originally from western world, Organic India now produces and markets it in India. Another natural dietary fibre supplements providing both soluble and insoluble fibres launched on Wednesday is Organic Psyllium, which normalises bowel movement, heals constipation, and helps treat obesity.
Organic India also launched Triphala powder that cleanses the bowel, protects the liver and improves its functioning, good for skin, good for hair and good for eyes.
Another product launched is Kesar mango which is dehydrated slices of the fruit retaining all the nutrients, flavour and freshness of Kesar mangoes. It can be used as such or in recipes after rehydrating it.
O-Joy that boosts male sexuality, correcting all types of sexuality related disorders and several ‘All True Wellness teas’ that induce sleep were also launched by the company.
