Israeli embassy attack case cracked
Investigations have revealed four Iranians executed the February 13 attack on Israeli diplomat Tal Yehoshua.
Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, 32, arrested by Malaysian Police for involvement in the Bangkok serial bombing that followed the attack on Yehoshua in New Delhi, masterminded the operation.
Sources said Masoud, passport number M-203005701, was the main link in the bomb attacks targeting Israeli interests in Delhi, Bangkok and Georgia.
They said Masoud instructed freelance journalist Syed Kazmi to help one of the accused, Seyed Ali Mahdian Sadr, carrying out recee of the Israeli embassy.
Investigating officials said the magnetic bomb was planted by expert Houshang Afshar Irani who came to India from Iran to assemble the explosive and stick it to the diplomat’s car.
The fourth accused, Mohammad Reza Abolghasemi helped organise logistics, including the bike used in the attack.
Sources claimed investigators were now checking whether the explosive used in the attack was smuggled into the country using diplomatic bags.
