Jagan ‘abetted’ YS Rajasekhar Reddy, claims CBI
The CBI which filed chargesheets against Kadapa MP, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and 12 others, has alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy, had abetted his father and former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy to commit the offence of criminal misconduct that attracts the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The CBI has alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy used his influence and his father’s office to get investments in his companies as a return for favours.
“Jagan actively prevailed upon his father YSR to commit offence under the Pre-vention of Corruption Act who in turn prevailed over IAS official B.P. Acharya and another official of AP-IIC, Y.V.L. Prasad to materialise the nefarious deal of allotting lands to Aurob-indo and Hetero by violating the norms,” it said.
In its chargesheet, the CBI has not mentioned other key accused named in the FIR such as Nimma-gadda Prasad, Potluri Vara Prasad, Penna Pratap Reddy and others who, according to the FIR, invested hundreds of crores of rupees in Jaganmohan Reddy’s firms. Their names are likely to be mentioned in the next chargesheet.
