Jagan keen to become CM: Chiranjeevi
Actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi on Friday came down heavily on YSR party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy while campaigning for Congress candidates in by-elections to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing meetings in road show at various villages from Chintakommadinne to Pulivendula mandals, Chiranjeevi alleged that Jagan, the son of late chief minister Y.S. Rajsekhara Reddy, is very keen to become the chief minister.
He asked the people to defeat Jagan by casting their votes in favour of Congress.
Health Minister D.L. Ravindra Reddy is the Congress nominee for Kadapa Lok Sabha seat while former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, a younger brother of Y.S.R. is taking on his sister-in-law Vijayalakshmi, YSR's wife, in Pulivendula.
The bypolls, scheduled to be held on May 8, are necessitated as Jagan and Vijayalakshmi quit as MP and MLA from Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly segments respectively.
