Jagan yatra to continue, says he did ‘no wrong’
Congress MP from Kadappa Jaganmohan Reddy, son of the late YSR, who defied the Congress high command with his tour of Telangana, said Monday he was ready to quit as an MP if it was proved he had politicised his yatra.
Mr Reddy also made it clear he would continue with his yatra. “I have not stopped anything and will continue with my tour,” he said. Mr Reddy, who reached New Delhi Sunday night, claimed he had come to meet the Congress high command to “clear the air”.
His desire to meet finance minister Pranab Mukherjee could not be fulfilled, and he has been told to instead meet law minister M. Veerappa Moily, AICC general secretary in charge of Andhra affairs.
