Jaipur cops’ stir on hc transfer order intensifies

The protest by policemen against the high court order to shift half-a-dozen senior police officers, including Jaipur police commissioner B.L. Soni, for their alleged role in high-handedness in dealing with the striking lawyers intensified across the state.

The policemen observed a fast and shouted slogan against the move saying the police officers were innocent. The support pour in to the policemen from different quarters as traders and auto-rickshaw union also joined the protest.
The lawyers continued their strike for their 14 demands, including a stipend for the lawyers. The senior police officers found it difficult to pacify agitating policemen.
