Jaipur man held for raping daughter, 13

Even though people are protesting against rape and crime against women, they are not even safe within their own families. The police in Jaipur has arrested a person for allegedly raping his 13-year-old daughter.

In Barmer, the police constituted a special team to complete investigation in 72 hours and file a chargesheet in a gangrape case. A mentally ill minor girl was raped in Kota by his brother-in-law.
According to the police, 35-year-old Mehboob (name changed] has been arrested by the police while his wife came to the police station with the minor daughter. “He raped his daughter two weeks back and asked her to keep mum, but he victim broke down when his father again sexually assaulted her, says a police officer. The victim’s mother caught her husband on Friday and brought him to the police station.
“The victim and her mother were shaken and requested not to make public their identity. We assured them and immediately arrested the father,” says a police officer.
The police in border district of Barmer geared up to file chargesheet in next 72 hours against the three accused involved in gangrape. A minor girl was gang raped by three persons on Thursday night in Barmer district when she was returning with her aunt from a family function. In a quick move, the police had arrested two of them.
