‘Jaitley’s remarks incorrect’

Union home minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday rejected senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley’s remark that there were differences between the government and the Congress on certain issues and said his party does not indulge in dual acts like the BJP which has been exposed.

In an interview to Doordarshan, Mr Chidambaram said, “Let me assure that we don’t have an Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj dual act in our party or government. Nor do we have the kind of dualism that was exposed between Mr Jaswant Singh and Mr L.K. Advani post-Kandahar”. I have heard our friend Arun Jaitley say that, “Chidambaram said when referred to the remarks made by the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha that the UPA government and Congress were divided on various issues.
