Jaya angry over Rajya Sabha TV focusing her during Rekha's oath

Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan on Wednesday complained about Rajya Sabha TV focusing her frequently while actor Rekha was taking oath as member of the House on Tuesday.

Jaya told Rajya Sabha chairman and Vice President Hamid Ansari, that the TV wanted to sensationalise the issue unnecessarily. Hansari, later sought an explanation regarding the footage.

Clad in golden brown saree and a matching high-heel sandals, Rekha arrived in the Upper House on Tuesday at 10.57 hours and was immediately surrounded by members who greeted her profusely.

Her Silsila rival Jaya entered the House before Rekha but did not greet each other.
