Jet counters to close 45 mins before flight

Jet Airways, JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect on Monday announced closure of all check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure in the six metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata from August 4 instead of the earlier 30 minutes.

“This in effect would mean that the airline would close check-in counters 15 minutes earlier than normal, in an effort to comply with the new directive from the director-general of civil aviation (on strict adherence to flight schedules by airlines). This new guideline should help mitigate flight delays and minimise inconvenience to guests... The Jet Airways group would also like to inform all guests that boarding gates for domestic flights at the above six metros would now close 25 minutes prior to departure, the Jet Airways group stated.
