Jeweller rapes girl

A jeweller allegedly raped a girl, from Kharar in Punjab, in his shop, police said today.

Accused Vickey, owner of the jewellery shop, had given an advertisement seeking women for job in his shop, police said.

The victim came to the accused for an interview. Vickey allegedly mixed some intoxicant in her drink and later raped her late last night.

The family members of the victim reported the matter to the police who arrested the accused after getting the girl medically examined.

Police has registered a case in this connection.
