Jilted husband bites off wife lover’s nose
In a bizarre incident, a contractor bit off the nose of a sub divisional officer (SDO) in the electricity department, whom he suspected of having an affair with his wife.
The profusely bleeding SDO was rushed to the Trauma Centre of the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU) where he is undergoing treatment.
According to police reports, the contractor, Sanjay Misra, has estranged relations with his wife, Renu Misra, since the past two years and after his wife lodged a dowry complaint against him, the couple had been living separately.
However, Sanjay would frequently visit his wife’s residence in Rajajipuram locality to meet their two children.
On Thursday evening, when Sanjay went to meet his children, he found them playing in the field opposite their house.
He went inside the house and found his wife cuddled up on the sofa with the SDO, J.P.N Singh, who is posted at the Krishna Nagar sub-station.
An angry Sanjay Misra first attempted to assault his wife, but when the SDO intervened, Misra became so incensed that he bit off the SDO’s nose. To ensure that the nose was not stitched back on the SDO’s face, the contractor crushed the same with his feet.
Meanwhile, some of the subordinates of the SDO, who were waiting outside, rushed in on hearing the commotion.
