Jilted lover tries revenge with bomb, 1 injured
Furious at being separated from the girl he loved, a 20-year-old decided to exact fatal revenge by planting an ingeniously created bomb in the car of her father. However, the plan backfired when the bomb exploded while it was being taken to be tested, injuring his friend.
The matter came to light when Sanjay Salvi (31), a Kurla resident, was severely injured in the blast, which occurred near the Air India colony on the Kalina-Kurla Road on Thursday evening. Salvi is wheelchair-bound due to polio and investigation at the scene of the blast indicated that the explosive had been placed on the footrest of his wheelchair.

Maha govt files criminal case against Lavasa
Pune, Nov. 4: The Maharashtra government on Friday filed a criminal complaint against Lavasa Corporation, promoters of the Lavasa Hill City here for alleged violations of the Environment Protection Act (EPA).
The officials of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) filed the complaint in a magisterial court against nine Lavasa directors, including chairman of its holding company HCC, Ajit Gulabchand, and six other officials.
The action by the state government was initiated following directions from the Bombay High Court. The court had on October 20 passed the direction after it was informed that the government had failed to take any action against Lavasa despite an order from the Union ministry of environment and forest (MoEF).
