J&K CM takes a dig at Geelani
Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday took a dig at Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani saying it was baffling that the hardline separatist leader could meet Lok Jan Shakti president Ram Vilas Paswan, who’s just an MP, yet was not willing to meet interlocutors appointed by the Centre.
Mr Abdullah stated that he was flummoxed, unable to find a rationale behind Mr Geelani’s unwillingness to enter into a dialogue with the panel specifically appointed by the Centre to find a political settlement of Kashmir issue.
“What’s the hitch in meeting interlocutors? He met LJSP president, who is the member of same Indian Parliament which has passed a resolution that “entire Jammu and Kashmir belongs to India and only unfinished agenda is to take back its (J&K’s) part under the illegal occupation of Pakistan.”
