Jobs to Naxals if they give up terror: Raman
Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh on Sunday assured employment to the Naxals if they give up the path of violence and join the mainstream society.
Speaking on the occasion of inauguration of “Gram at Rs Five a Kilo” scheme at Jagdalpur in insurgency-hit Bastar district, Mr Singh said his government would rehabilitate “each and every Naxal” who chose normal life. All those who denounce Naxalism and join the mainstream society would be given employment.
“The Naxals are the sons of the soil. I am ready to hug them if they help bring peace to the state by laying down arms. I assure that each and every Naxal will be provided employment if they embrace peace,” the chief minister announced.
“With slew of developmental projects, in steel and power sectors, becoming a reality, the economy of the state is poised for a giant leap. The people of the state, particularly the tribals, should avail the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of development. The Naxals should not deny themselves and also a section of people from taking advantage of the development,” the chief minister added.
