Journalist shot dead in Indore
A 28-year-old journalist was shot dead allegedly by unidentified persons here, the police said on Saturday. Autopsy and X-ray reports have confirmed that Anil Soni was shot dead on Friday night on the Rajkumar overbridge when he was returning home from the Press Complex area, additional superintendent of police Mahesh Chandra Jain said.
During postmortem a bullet was found in Soni's head, Jain said, adding the scribe's body was found on the bridge.
Soni was working with a local daily. The journalists here have demanded a speedy probe to nab the accused. A case has been registered and investigations are on, the police said.
