Jundal instigated youth in Beed
Sayyed Zabiuddin Ansari, alias Abu Jundal, and Faiyaaz Kagzi, who are accused in the Aurangabad arms haul case, had organised darz (lectures) on Ahale-Haddis (various Islamic movements) to instigate the youth of Beed district to seek revenge against the Muslim atrocities in the Gujarat riots, the supplementary charge-sheet filed by the Maharashtra ATS has stated.
The 261-page chargesheet has included almost 13 witness statements, which claims that the accused were involved in instigating the youth to raise their voices against the atrocities faced by Muslims all over the country.
Most of the witnesses in the case are residents of Beed, who were well acquainted with the accused. All the witnesses have mentioned about the said darz in their statements. The statement reads, “In the year 2004, Jundal and Faiyaaz Kagzi had organised darz to teach Ahale-Haddis to youth in Beed. After the darz, Jundal delivered instigatory speeches about the 2002 Gujarat riots and asked us to raise our voices against the atrocities on the Muslim communities across the country. After the event, Jundal had arranged for a few books which were based on the atrocities against Muslims. However, after attending the darz, we all decided to turn a deaf ear to the event.” Till now, the ATS has arrested 22 accused in the case. According to the chargesheet, Jundal is charged for conspiracy in the 2006 Aurangabad arms haul case. He is also shown as an active member of Muslim terror organisations. According to the prosecution, on May 9, 2006, a huge storage of unlicensed explosive substance like RDX, sophisticated weapons etc. were allegedly transported to Aurangabad, Malegaon and Nashik.
