K’taka gov: I have corrupt mantris’ list
Karnataka governor H.R. Bhardwaj on Wednesday stepped up his battle against the state government with a disclosure that he has handed over a list of names of corrupt ministers to chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa.
“I have given the list to chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa,” he said, adding: “I only want to say that I invite anybody who wants the list of corrupt people to come to Raj Bhavan.”
His comments came as the NDA kicked off the first of the anti-graft rallies across the country, but carefully left out Karnataka where Mr Yeddyurappa has been systematically targeted by the Congress for graft.
The state’s senior BJP leaders have repeatedly threatened to seek the governor’s recall, more recently for expressing dissatisfaction over replies of Mr Yeddyurappa to two letters — one seeking an update on illegal mining and the other on charges of involvement of the CM and his kin in illegal land deals.
