K. Chandrasekhar Rao rules out talks on Telangana
TRS chief K. Chandrasek-har Rao on Wednesday ruled out further talks with the Congress leadership on Telangana issue and sounded T-stir bugle once again.
Addressing his party’s two-day brainstorming session that began in Kari-mnagar, Mr Rao asked TRS leaders and cadre to be prepared for T-battle.
He asserted that the TRS would not have truck with any political party and fig-ht the 2014 elections alone.
The TRS chief announ-ced a mega public meeting at Suryapet in Nalgonda district on November 23, Diksha Diwas, a one-day protest hunger strike in the entire Telangana region on November 29 to mark the third anniversary of his hunger strike, a 40-day palle bata programme from November 30 to January 10, 2013, followed by other agitations.
Mr Rao also chalked out a two-pronged strategy; intensifying agitation to force the Centre to act on Telangana and prepare the party for 2014 general elections to ensure a big win.
The TRS plans to target the Congress specifically, besides TD and YSRC for their failure to support Telangana and strengthen its own base with full-fledged party units from village to district-level in the days to come.
“I had gone to Delhi at the invitation of Congress for talks. I expected a positive decision, but the Congress ditched us. It has been cheating Telangana people for long,” he said.
Expressing anguish over the suicide by Santosh, a student, Mr Rao he appe-aled to students and youth not to resort to suicides.
