BJP chief Nitin Gadkari on Monday took a swipe at the Congress by claiming that Kalawati’s days of misfortune are still not over as her daughter, Savita, too committed suicide recently. Kalawati had hit the national headlines when

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi visited her home and mentioned her name in his speech in Parliament.
“Last year, Kalawati’s son-in-law had committed suicide. Very recently, her daughter Savita too committed self-immolation and died,” said Mr Gadkari, while claiming that Kalawati’s fortune did not change even after having become famous.
Kalawati’s debt-ridden husband had committed suicide as well.
