Kani bail plea order likely today

The Delhi high court is likely to pronounce the order on the bail plea of Rajya Sabha DMK MP Kanimozhi on Wednesday, along with that of Kalaignar TV CEO and MD Sharad Kumar, arrested and chargesheeted by the CBI in connection with the 2G spectrum scam case.

Justice Ajit Bharihoke, who had on May 30 reserved its order on the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and Kumar, is likely to pronounce the order on their bail application at 10.30 am.
After hearing extensive arguments from both the parties — special CBI public prosecutor U.U. Lalit and a battery of lawyers of Kanimozhi — the court had reserved its order.
