Kanimozhi to stay in jail as SC adjourns bail plea

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the bail pleas of DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV managing director Sharad Kumar in the 2G spectrum case and asked it to reply by June 20.

An apex court bench of justice B.S. Chauhan and justice Swatantra Kumar asked the CBI to inform the court what had happened to the Rs 200 crores which it has alleged was paid to Kalaignar TV as bribe. Kanimozhi is a shareholder in the channel.
