Kapadia releases Moily Ramayana
Chief Justice of India S.H. Kapadia released the Shree Ramayana Mahanveshanam, the great quest of Ramayana authored by Union law and justice minister Dr M. Veerappa Moily on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice of India stated that the things discussed in the book like an egalitarian and equal society should also be implemented. “We should be able to create equal opportunities for everyone, including the poor,” Mr Kapadia stated. He stated that Indian value system needs to continue and we should not ape the Western value system. “We have to preserve our values as it has made this country great. I am a Zoroastrian, but I feel that all religions have a sort of convergence in good things,” he stated.
The CJI also praised the law minister for being the only politician he had come across who indulged in such thoughtful pursuits like writing books and also believing and doing what he writes.
In his address, the Union law and justice minister Dr M. Veerappa Moily stated that the book was an attempt at exploring the Ramayana from a secular and modern perspective.
