Karat: Rahul does not know history

CPI(M) on Friday hit back at Rahul Gandhi for dubbing Marxism as a “dead ideology”, saying the Congress general secretary does not know the history.
“Rahul does not know the history of Marxism. He should know that Karl Marx, the main protagonist of the Communist movement, was born in the 19th century and not the 20th century,” Mr Karat said at a public meeting here.
“In any case, Gandhi does not have the political understanding that the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira Gandhi had,” he said.
