Keralite held for killing former naxal
C. James Baby, 73, of Kottayam in Kerala, was arrested by Krishnagiri police on charges of harbouring T. Ramachandaran, Thally M.L.A of C.P.I, who faces murder charges. He was arrested from his house, near collector office of Kottayam following a clue about Ramachandaran’s visit to Kottayam after police launched a search for him.
Krishnagiri police on Sunday night produced James before K.Suresh Kumar; Hosur JM-II magistrate, who gave orders to remand him in judicial custody for 15 days and sent him to Salem prison.
Ramachandaran, his elder brother T. Varadarajan, and their relative M. Lakhumiah face murder charges following the death of M. Palani,45, of Palepuram, near Hosur of Krishnagiri. Palani was shot dead and beheaded when the victim with his son P. Vanchinathan, were working on their farm land.
