Kid killed by falling on spike of gate

A two-year- old child died by falling on the spike of the gate while playing on the upper storey of her home on the outskirts of the city here, police said today.

The child Sahira was playing with her elder siblings on the first floor of the house when she slipped down and her belly got pierced by the sharp spike-like upper part of the iron gate yeseerday, police said.

Though the child was rushed to a hospital, she was declared dead.

Her father is an autorickshaw driver.
