Kingfisher flight makes emergency landing at Goa airport

A Bangalore-bound Kingfisher Airbus A-320 made an emergency landing at the Goa airport after its windshield developed a crack, an Airports Authority of India (AAI) official said on Monday.

The Mumbai-Bangalore flight was forced to land at the Dabolim airport here at 8.10 a.m., when the crack in a corner of the windshield suddenly came to the pilot's notice.

"There were 100 passengers on board. All of them are safe. It was a precautionary measure," the AAI official said.

"The plane is currently being repaired at Goa airport and we are making alternate arrangements for the passengers to be on their way to Bangalore," officials at Dabolim said.
