Kingfisher flight makes priority landing at Mumbai airport
A Delhi-bound Kingfisher Airlines flight on Friday made a priority landing, shortly after it took off from the city airport, after the aircraft suffered a “suspected” bird hit.
The flight IT 331 Mumbai-Delhi, with 120 passengers onboard, took off at around 6.15 am but returned to Mumbai airport after being airborne for over 15-minutes, due to a suspected bird hit, Kingfisher Airlines spokesperson said.
Airline engineers are inspecting the aircraft to assess the damage, the spokesperson said, adding an alternate aircraft is being arranged to carry the passengers to their destination.
