Kishtwar riots raise heat in LS

The recent riots in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir were raised in the Lok Sabha generating much heat with the BJP warning that the situation was fast turning into one that was similar to 1990, when Kashmiri pandits were forced to flee the Kashmir Valley.

Speaking during a special discussion on the recent situation in J&K, Yogi Adityanath of the BJP said the state administration with not taking appropriate measures to prevent the outbreak of violence on August 9.
He also feared that the situation was fast turning into one akin to 1990 when Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave the Valley. Yogi Adityanath also alleged that Hindus and their places of worship[p were being selectively targeted. The BJP MP also alleged that those raising anti-India slogans enjoy protection of the administration.
