Kolkata’s South City Mall under bomb threat, search still on

Kolkata’s premiere South City Mall was evacuated immediately after it opened this morning following a bomb threat call by an anonymous caller.

Police said that a woman rang up the office of the south Kolkata mall saying that a bomb had been planted inside.

Details about the anonymous call was soon informed to the police, who immediately evacuated the mall and called in a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad. The threat call was received at about 11.40am and the search operation was still on with police cordoning the around it, police said.
