K'taka BJP heads meet to discuss land scam, Yeddyurappa's fate
New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders from Karnataka are expected to meet party chief Nitin Gadkari on Friday to discuss the developments in the state in the wake of the opposition campaign for Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's ouster over land allotments to his kin.
BJP sources said the chief minister was expected to attend the meeting along with some cabinet colleagues and party leaders.
The BJP's core group had met Thursday to discuss the developments in the wake of the opposition offensive seeking the chief minister's removal.
The core group decided to hear out Yeddyurappa and other senior party leaders and then decide the next course of action.
Senior party leader Arun Jaitley said after the core group meeting that the party had decided to talk to Karnataka chief minister and other important state leaders.
The state government on Thursday decided to order a probe by a retired Supreme Court judge into all land deals in and around Bangalore in the last ten years.
