Kuldeep Sharma elected as Speaker of Haryana Assembly

Kuldeep Sharma was Friday elected as the Speaker of Haryana Assembly. Sharma is a Congress MLA from Ganaur constituency.

The election was necessitated after Harmohinder Singh Chatha resigned from the post of Speaker in January and later inducted into the state Cabinet.

The Congress leader's name was proposed by Chatha and approved by Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
