Ladies’ night of horror at F Bar, Bengaluru
A 20-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed in her neck by a few men in F Bar and Kitchen on Cunningham Road.
According to the victim’s sister, who requested anonymity for safety, she, her sister and four others visited the pub as they wanted to celebrate completion of their exams and also because it was a ‘ladies’ night’ at the pub.
A group of four men at the next table allegedly misbehaved with them. When the girls asked them to keep off, the men got into a verbal argument and started abusing the women. They even threatened to kill them.
It soon turned into scuffle with one of the main accused, Nitin Reddy, hurling a beer bottle at one of the six women. The bottle broke and a shard pierced the woman’s neck. She was rushed to a private hospital on Cunningham Road where the doctors put 19 stitches on her neck.
“The pub staff did not try to help us when we were rushing my injured sister to the hospital. They did not take any action against the culprits,” she said.
However, F Bar manager Santosh said, “When I heard about the brawl, I rushed to the spot; the bouncers were already present and had ended the fight.”
The police have taken the CCTV footage of that night and are investigating. The hunt for the accused is on.
