Lalu, Mulayam may use Shah issue in Bihar polls

It seem that the strategy of the Samjawadi Party and the RJD has confused the Oppostion and the ruling UPA. They are raising the vocie against the governemnt on the price rise inside and outside Parliament, but their priorities are different. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav views that the action against Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi’s tursted colleague Amit Shah would help his party more in the Bihar polls than the price rise issue.

He is suggesting the Centre to take action against Mr Modi.
If the government managers are to be belived, Mr Yadav is equally interested in the hike of the salary and allowances for MPs. Both, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and the RJD chief have been backing the Congress at the Centre since 2004 contrary to their postions on different issues. The Left and the government also know how much they can rely on the SP-RJD combo.
But the governemnt is not in a mood to oblige the Left atleast at so early. “If they want to break the impasse, then they should take part in the Question Hour on Friday,” said a Union minister.
The government has refused to discuss the price rise issue in the Lok Sabha under Rule 184, which entails voting.
“We are ready to discuss this issue under Rule 193 in the Lok Sabha and under 176 in the Rajya Sabha,” said parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Kumar Bansal.
