Trashing the NDA government's claim of development in Bihar, RJD national president Lalu Prasad on Saturday dared state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to show a single achievement that his government has attained with its own resources.

The RJD supremo also took a dig at Amitabh Bachchan describing the Bollywood megastar as ‘his least likeable actor’ adding that he did not take seriously the former's praise of the NDA government during his recent visit to Bihar

"Whatever development has taken place in Bihar over the past six years has been due to liberal allocation by the Centre under its various flagship programmes like the road construction or bicycle scheme for students .... let the Chief Minister show a single scheme that his government has undertaken with its own resources," he told reporters here.

The RJD supremo also said that he did not take seriously the views of Bachchan about Bihar’s development under NDA government.

"Amitabh Bachchan mera sabse napasand kalakar hai (he is my least likeable actor in the film industry)", Prasad told reporters in reply to a question.

The media persons had sought Prasad's reaction on the Bollywood actor's praise of the NDA government as well as his comment that there has been development in Bihar during the NDA rule.

The Bollywood actor had visited the state capital earlier this week to promote his upcoming film 'Aarakshan'.

Prasad claimed that he too had made significant contributions in development of his home state by bringing railway projects worth about Rs65,000 crores while he was the Railway minister in the UPA government in its first term.

In addition to sanctioning slew of railway projects in Bihar, he had impressed upon the UPA government to liberally grant funds to Bihar for development in view of prevailing economic backwardness in his state, he said.

Attacking the NDA government for its claim to usher in all round development in state since taking over power from the RJD in 2005, the party chief said that contrary to the perception about economic turnaround in Bihar, the condition of the rural areas and the people living there remained all the same as there were no electricity for lighting their houses in the evening nor rations to feed themselves.

In fact, Bihar has the poorest record among all states in terms of lifting stocks of food grains and kerosene oil for distribution among the poor people, Prasad claimed.

A staggering 94 per cent of the villages in Bihar did not have electricity and wherever electricity was available in the villages the people could not use the commodity due to lack of transmission lines, he claimed.

Prasad flayed the NDA government on the alleged BIADA land scam, the state government's failure to update AC/DC bills, Forbesganj police firing and spate in crime in the state and corruption, and said that his party will organise a series of agitational programmes throughout the state to expose the ‘misdeeds’ of the ruling coalition.

Earlier, participating at the Mahadharna' organised by his party at the JP Chowk, Prasad urged the party workers to unseat the 'corrupt' and 'failed' NDA government from power before completion of its second term with cooperation from the masses whom the ruling coalition has "cheated by making false promises" to ameliorate their condition.
