Lawyers assault mediapersons in Bengaluru court

Lawyers on Friday attacked mediapersons at a civil court in Bengaluru for what they describe as 'one-sided coverage' of a strike by lawyers in February.

Police had to use tear gas and lathi-charge when lawyers attacked the mediapersons and hurled stones at vehicles that are owned by different TV channels.

Some of them including the lawyers have been injured in the attack. The media gathered outside the court to report on the arrival of former minister Janardhana Reddy, who has been in jail for illegal
mining.
