Madani's arrest:Senior Karnataka officials in Kerala
Two senior police officials from Bengaluru will hold discussions with the police top brass in Kerala on Monday on the issue of arrest of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani in connection with the Bengaluru serial blasts case.
Joint Police Commissioner of Bengaluru Alok Kumar along with Deputy Commissioner Omkarayya have reached here, fuelling speculation that the arrest of Madani was imminent.
Though the Peoples Democratic Party leader had on Sunday said he preferred to surrender before a local court in the coming days, Karnataka Police was keen on executing the arrest warrant against Madani, police said.
A Karnataka team led by Circle Inspector N.H. Siddappa has been camping in Kollam, the district where Madani's camp is located, since last on Monday.
They had sought the Kerala Police's help to arrest Madani, who was also an accused in the 1998 Coimbatore serial blasts in which 58 people were killed.
