Maha woman delivers healthy quintuplets

A woman from Karjat near here gave birth to quintuplets at a local maternity home, doctors attending to her said today.

Four daughters and a son were born to Sarika Ram Shinde, a resident of Bhandewadi village (50 kms from here) last night, said Dr Nitin Salwe from Suman Maternity, where the woman delivered the babies.

All the babies were healthy and weighed between 1000-1200 gms, he said adding the mother was also doing fine.
