Mahanta accuses Gogoi of conspiracy

Former Assam chief minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta here on Wednesday dared Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi to make public the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on `1000 crore North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council scam.
In reference to the reports published by this newspaper on special audit report of N.C. Hills, Mr Mahanta said, “In order to divert the attention from the N.C. Hills scam in which present government has been indicted for swindling government fund, Mr Gogoi was trying to rake up divisive issue of Bodoland.”
He said, “The Comptroller and Auditor General findings which were kept under carpet has already come out. Its simply the tips of an iceberg, corruption has been rampant in other departments also.”
