Major fire at multi-storey building

A major fire broke out in a multi-storey building on Parliament Street this evening, fire brigade officials said.

The fire was reported from the Punjab National Bank office at around 4:45 PM. Over 20 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire. People inside the building have been evacuated, the officials said.

Some people are still feared trapped inside the building while some of the injured have been taken to hospitals.
