Mallya site hacked from Pak
Mumbai, Aug. 15: The personal website of the liquor baron and Rajya Sabha member, Mr Vijay Mallya, was hacked by a group calling itself the “Pakistan Cyber Army” on Sunday.
The website www.mallyainparliament.in was hacked at around 2.45 pm on Sunday, his spokesperson, Mr Prakash Mirpuri, said.
“I got a call from the technical team monitoring the website and was told that it had been hacked. I then notified Mr Mallya about it. The website was restored in around two-and-a-half hours,” said Mr Mirpuri.
The hackers placed a picture of the flag of Pakistan on the website’s homepage, along with a threatening message, with a background of green vertical strips of computer code, similar to the motif used by the Hollywood film The Matrix.
“We are sleeping, not dead,” the message began, and went on to say, “This is a payback from the Pak Cyber Army in return to the defacements of Pakistani sites. Don’t think you are secure in the cyber space. We will turn the cyber space into hell, and make sure you have someone to cry over. Feel the power of Pakistan. (sic)”
