Mammen Mathew is the new Chief Editor of Malayala Manorama

Mammen Mathew on Wednesday assumed charge as chief editor of Malayalam daily “Malayala Manorama”. Mathew, 65, succeeds his father K.M. Mathew, who passed away on August 1, a release from the group said here.

He will continue to be the managing director of the group. Mathew, who has 44 years of publication experience, became the resident editor of Malayala Manorama's Kozhikode Unit in 1970. Ten years later, he assumed charge as general manager and managing editor of the daily here. In 1988, he became the editor as well as the managing director.
