Man arrested for abducting child
The Delhi police has arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly abducting his employer’s five-year-old son from Naraina in southwest Delhi.
The police said the five-year-old boy has been rescued from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh and the accused, identified as Ram Karan, has been arrested. The boy was
abducted on April 24 by Ram Karan and taken to UP. “Ram Karan had been deserted by his wife two years ago and was living separately. He was fired by the boy’s father from work due to his drinking habits and wanted to avenge loss of his job,” DCP (southwest) A.K. Ojha said.
The police said the accused had developed a good relationship with the boy and had planned to keep him for ever. “We were tipped-off about Ram Karan’s involvement by the victim’s father Ram Ajor, a small-time contractor, who suspected the involvement of his former employee in the kidnapping of his son,” DCP Ojha said.
