Man bites off wife's nose, lips in fit of rage

In a bizarre incident, a man allegedly bit off his wife's nose and lips after she refused to return from her parents' home.

Raju, an auto driver, had gone to Sheetala Vihar here last evening to bring his wife Pinky back to his house, but when she refused to return, he got agitated and attacked her, biting off her nose and lips. 25-year-old Pinky, who was alone at her home when the attack occurred, was left bleeding profusely.

After hearing her shrieks, the neighbours rushed to her house and took her to Doon hospital where doctors operated on her.

The doctors at the hospital said a plastic surgery may also be performed on the face. A case has been registered and manhunt has been launched to nab Raju.
