Many killed in Surat road accident

Eight people were killed and three others injured when a car they were travelling in collided with a truck near Kosamba town of the district late on Sunday night, police said.

The victims were travelling from Daman to their hometown of Ankleshwar when their Tavera car collided with a truck while it was taking a U-turn on National Highway-8.

The three injured had been admitted to a nearby hospital, police said.
