Maoists blow up railway track in Giridih

Maoists blew up a stretch of railway track near Karmavad railway station in Giridih district in the wee hours on Monday.

The blast which occurred around 2 am destroyed a metre-long track including wheels of a goods train, the Divisional Railway Manager, (Dhanbad Railway Division), Mr A. Upadhaya, said here.

He said several trains have been stopped at various points following the damage to the
track.
