Maoists end bandh by bombing school in Garhwa
Maoists exploded a bomb in a school building in Garhwa district just before their two-day bandh ended at midnight, police said on Tuesday.
A group of armed Maoists stuffed IED inside a room of a middle school at Bodari village and triggered the blast, damaging a large portion of the structure, Superintendent of Police Michael S. Raj told reporters.
After three days of violence in Jharkhand, the Maoists ended their bandh, which was called to protest the killing of Kishanji, the third ranked leader in the CPI (Maoist), on November 24 in West Bengal.
