Maoists to use Telangana stir to expand further
The Peoples War Liberation Guerrilla Army of CPI Maoists is aiming to liberate Dandakaranya and Bihar-Jharkhand initially.
In a communication of the Central Military Commission they also mentioned that people are rallying for the formation of separate Telangana and the situation has to be used for building a revolutionary movement.
Documents pertaining to the 11 years after the formation of the PLGA and the Central Military Commission of the Maoists revealed that the Reds are planning to convert PLGA into a People’s Liberation Army and guerrilla warfare into mobile warfare to make Dandakaranya and Bihar-Jharkhand liberated areas.
The Maoists also vowed to avenge the killing of politburo member Kishenji, and said that he had worked hard to build up guerrilla squads in Dandakaranya.
The Central Military Commission has also decided to build up mass movements for the release of political prisoners. The report claimed that PLGA had killed 150 policemen and had injured 180 ‘anti-people elements,” and that 60 weapons were seized from security forces.
A police official said, ”Dandakaranya is already a stronghold of Maoists. In the document Maoists said that mass movements were increasing, and that economic struggles were turning political. They quoted Polavaram and Singareni as potential areas for mass movements apart from Jharkhand, and anti-SEZ struggles.”
The CMC said that people were rallying for Telangana, and that power should be seized through people’s war.
The Maoists also decided to step up recruitments for the PLGA on a large scale, and to integrate it with other mass movements.
