Marandi's fast-unto-death enters seventh day
JVM-P chief Babulal Marandi whose fast-unto-death entered the seventh day on Saturday demanded a permanent solution to the encroachment issue.
The former chief minister has been demanding convening of a special assembly session to pass a bill that would protect the people who had already been displaced or were facing the threat of displacement following encroachment in government land.
After the ‘failure’ of the first round talk on Thursday between the government and the JVM-P delegation, the JVM-P is organising a ‘people's court’ on Saturday at Morabadi where Marandi is on fast from May 1.
Chief Minister Arjun Munda has already approved an ordinance which is waiting for governor's approval.
