Minor stabbed after rape attempt

Unnao, Uttar Pradesh: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed to death by two men after she resisted their attempts to rape her in Nyamatpur village of the district, police said here today.

The girl was allegedly stabbed to death by a screwdriver by Akhtar and Israel alias Tata when she raised an alarm and thwarted their attempts to rape her late last evening, they said.

The incident occurred when the minor's parents were not at home, they said.
